With finals just around the corner, the Daylesford Bulldogs have produced one of their best wins of the season, soundly beating Springbank by 85 points.

It was a fantastic day for football at Wallace Reserve in Springbank, with the pristine conditions coming as a small shock given the past month of games have been played in very wet and cold conditions.

Rob Rodgers was best on ground for the Bulldogs, winning a lot of ball up and down the wing and creating many scoring opportunities for his teammates throughout the match. (more…)

vs_dunstown

The Daylesford Bulldogs have romped to their 13th win of the season, defeating fourth-placed Dunnstown by 73 points over the weekend.

In incredibly muddy conditions, Daylesford were still able to break the game open with much cleaner hands and skills than their opponents, who they kept to just one goal for the match.

Hayden Mobbs showed just why he is a wet weather football specialist, throwing himself into every contest with reckless abandon and often coming out if not with the footy, than with a free kick. (more…)

The Daylesford Bulldogs are back on the winners list, prevailing by 57 points against Clunes over the weekend.

After going down to Hepburn the week before, the Bulldogs were out for redemption against the Magpies, and with finals just around the corner a good showing was of the upmost importance.

Best on ground for Daylesford was ruckman Scott Winduss. Winduss simply dominated his opponents for all four quarters, with his sheer strength and size proving a handful for the Clunes ruckmen. (more…)

Daylesford Vs Hepburn

vs_hepburn The Daylesford Bulldogs have had their nine game winning streak ended, going down to cross-town rivals Hepburn by 36 points at the weekend.

In extremely cold and sticky conditions, the Bulldogs were never really in the hunt, trailing at every change and just couldn’t match Hepburn’s consistency from quarter to quarter.

Nick Sullivan was one of the Bulldogs’ best, tagging the dangerous Andy McKay out of the game for the majority of the match. McKay managed three goals, but given the amount of ball the Hepburn forwards were getting, this was certainly one of the few wins Daylesford had over the ground. (more…)
